A Catalan Christmas

The Caga Tio is a Catalan tradition...a log with a painted face is in the home from 8th December 'til Christmas Eve, it is covered with a blanket to keep it warm and children feed it with nougat 'turro' and orange peel each evening, the more they feed it the more presents he'll poop for Christmas.
